Don’t Get Caught (In the Middle of Rising Waters!)

cropped-jcca_logo_removed_background.pngAs the temperatures in Johns Creek heat up, many of us head outdoors for activities along the Chattahoochee River.

It’s quite easy to get caught off guard by rising waters as the Army Corp of Engineers release waters from Lake Lanier.

So if you are heading to the river, take a moment and check the release schedule before you wade it.  Don’t get caught in the middle of a rising river!

The release schedules can change daily, so be sure that you check it on the day you are headed to waters.

And parents, if you have teens that might be headed to the river on their own for some river time, please be sure that they are aware of the risks associated with the rising waters, which can occur at any times.  Have them add the phone number to their phones, and encourage them to check before they get their feet wet!
